I heard the Lord say, “do you hear the sound of rain, the sound of the revival rains”?
Often the Lord speaks to me in parallels from the word about seasons and times. He led me to 1 Kings 18 where there was a famine in the land, and Queen Jezebel and King Ahab were the ruling powers of the day.
Remember Elijah prophesied to the wicked King Ahab that there would be no rain, until he commanded it, how did Elijah have that type of faith and authority?
“Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, “As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives—the God I serve—there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!” 1 Kings 17:1
The prophet was decreeing what had already been declared in many scriptures the evidence of not serving God is shut heavens.“And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:” Leviticus 26:19
The servants of God are being filled with faith to go up the mountain and not only to decree what has already been promised in this year of “Pey” but to look for the rain clouds. Just like Elijah sent his servant to look for rain when they were in a season of drought. The Lord is provoking our expectation.
Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” 1 Kings 18:41
Prophetic voices the Lord is not asking us to see the rain then decree it, He is asking the prophets of today to have spiritual ears to hear the rain, and start decreeing the mighty rainstorm that is coming. What did Elijah mean when he said to King Ahab eat and drink? Jesus said that people would be eating and drinking in the days before the flood. Meaning they were oblivious to Gods plans. The world today and even parts of the church are oblivious to Gods plans. Our God has a plan to flood the earth with glory. Habakkuk 2:14
I want to share a vision/encounter that impacted my life I had while in the nation of Vanuatu in Oct 1999, it has never left me.
There is a great stirring in my heart we are near the time of manifestation of this vision.
In-fact this vision has stayed fresh in my heart for 20 years. Although I was seeking the Lord for our ministry at that time, I also believed it was for the Body of Christ.
VISION
I had been seeking the Lord over a few days about the coming revival in the earth I was awoken at 3.30 am by the Lord he started to speak to me about the spiritual state of the Body of Christ.
Then almost immediately the Lord took me to a place that looked like a church building, but there were hardly any people in the chairs and significantly there was no one at the front of the room where you would typically see a worship team or a preacher. I believe the Lord was saying in this move I am going to be in control; there will be no place for performance. I felt He was saying you do not need a large number of people to see transformation.
As I watched this scene, a whirlwind came into the room; it looked like violent cyclonic weather, wind, and rain with an intense force. Then walls of the building collapsed.
I saw tongues of fire fall on the head of the small number of people that were seated; there were many empty seats around each person. I believe this was a baptism of the Father's Love.The people seated began to reach out to the empty chairs, and as they touched them, whole families appeared. These families were full of fire and love.
They were thanking God loudly for salvation, deliverance, and His love. As these people testified, many others were added to the group. Many hearts were melted and changed, then the people in the building formed the walls. Our Father is building a church without walls. A strong fortress that could not be defeated by the enemy. There were no weak links; everyone was standing shoulder to shoulder, arms linked to the next person. Involuntary praises were arising into heaven from hearts that could not contain God’s love.
As Gods goodness was spoken of repentance and tears flowed freely.
No one was offended or out of order even though at times it looked very messy and unorderly.
The Lord went on to say to me this is the mighty end-time church, a church without walls a church that will say not my will but yours be done. Then the Lord gave me these scriptures
“Come, let us return to the Lord.
for he has torn us, that he may heal us.
he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.
After two days he will revive us.
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord.
his going out is sure as the dawn.
he will come to us as the showers,
as the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:1-3
This is the hour where many are returning to the Lord; our Father is healing them.
We are in the second day where he is reviving us with His showers of Blessing.
In preparation for the third day when we will be raised up and live before Him.
Keep an expectant heart keep decreeing “the rain is coming”.
