Look, the Harvest is Ripe!

The Lord has been speaking to me about harvest earnestly for many years, beginning in 2017.

This morning, I heard this now word, “the harvest is ripe” John 4:35:"Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest."

So often, we are caught up in the noise and busyness of life. Circumstances, pressures, and distractions cloud our vision. Yet the Lord is urging us — "Lift up our eyes."This is not a casual glance. It is intentional. It is purposeful. He is calling us to look expectantly, ready to recognise the harvest is ripe before us.  Opportunities are everywhere — opportunities to carry His goodness into lives, to bring His light into dark places, and to release His love into broken situations.

I was reminded of the Prodigal Father “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; Luke 15:20

He was waiting for him he had an expectation he was looking. One of the versions says he was looking with an outstretched neck. This physical gesture emphasizes the father's eagerness and the intensity, symbolic to us as the Heavenly Father longs for his sons and daughters. Are we longing for the lost are we filled with compassion for the harvest?

This is a crucial hour. We must not miss our visitation by being entangled in lesser things. The Lord is asking us to seek Him for strategies — to receive fresh blueprints for marketplace evangelism, tailored to this season. There are different keys for different seasons, and this is a season of divine innovation.

Many of us have already been striking the ground, declaring that the land will yield its increase, contending for our regions and nations. The sons and daughters of God are rising, just as Romans 8:19-21 declares:

"For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed... that it may be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God."

New forms of community gatherings, evangelism will emerge — birthed by the Holy Spirit. Expect spontaneous sharing of the Word. Expect social media shout-outs for water baptisms. Expect prayer and worship flowing in workplaces groups. Expect impromptu outdoor gatherings that shakes cities and ripples across nations.

Many coming into the kingdom will never have stepped foot inside a church. But walls are being torn down. The church is moving beyond the divide of “us and them,” stepping into the fullness of our mandate in John 3:16:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

Our assignment is clear:We are to present Jesus as a saviour that loves the world, and to display heaven’s invitation to all of humanity, to be the church to our community. Not just a visiting place but an important part of community life.

There is a divine bridging of the gap underway. The church is evolving from a place to visit into a training and equipping centre for kingdom release into the marketplace, regions and nations.

So, I encourage you: Expect the new. Expect the unusual. Expect divine innovation.

Every harvest is unique. The Lord will give us new tools and fresh techniques tailored for each marketplace, region and nation. The harvest is ripe — let us look up, with eyes wide open, ready to labour in the fields of our Father.

So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” John 9:38
