There are so many opinions and ideas filling our atmospheres in current times. As prophetic people, we love to hear the prophets perspectives and insights from God, but it must never take the place of Gods word. We have a responsibility always to point people to Jesus through the word of God.
It is not wrong to listen to what God is saying through different prophets, but it is wrong if prophetic words take final authority.
The Lord is giving us an invitation to return to the purity of His word that He may return to us.
“Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of hosts, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3
All the power we will ever need is in the words of our God; all the wisdom we need, all the authority and healing we need is inside the Word of God. This year 2021 is a time for the people of God to stand in a greater authority and maturity that takes accepting God’s word as the final authority. Who’s report will we believe in 2021? There are many reports contrary to the word of God. We must stand firm in Gods word like never before.
Many people say I am standing, and that’s great, but if they are standing on the words of man, there is no foundation. We must stand on the promises of God. How God gets the job done is His business. Our partnership is to believe the promises of God and fill our mouths with those promises. The word of God says to do that day and night, Joshua 1:8.
What does it mean to stand in the Greek the meaning reflects us stopping and standing in one place making it impossible for Satan to chase us. Which literally looks like although Satan is tormenting us, we believe Gods word and make a stand to stay firm on the promise of God. So, it’s self-explanatory that for us not to be moved; we need the promises of God to anchor our soul. The promises of God are spoken of in Hebrews 6:19 as the anchor of our soul.
These are dark and perilous times we need Gods word as a light to our feet Ps 119:105. We need the word of his wisdom to navigate the shaking that is taking place all around us. The whole of creation is waiting for us to allow the word of God to become flesh.
