Heaven is a Real Place

Over the years, many people have asked me about heaven. The Bible speaks often of it, yet today I want to share from more than 25 years of my own prophetic experiences and encounters. My heart is to bring insight and lift the fear of death.

I’m often asked how these encounters happened. I can only describe them as visions and night visions—some while in the heavy presence of God, fully awake and fully aware, seeing with the eyes of my heart. Some lasted for a time; others were brief glimpses or impressions of heaven. I don’t claim to have seen every facet, only what Jesus has chosen to reveal to me.

These experiences have deeply changed my life. I believe they were given to comfort those grieving loved ones and to help others understand what awaits us beyond this life.

Prophetic experiences take many forms, reflecting the ways God has always spoken to His people in Scripture. But let me be clear: these encounters never create doctrine—only God’s Word can do that.

Throughout history, believers have caught glimpses beyond the veil. Paul himself shared:“I have to talk about myself, even if it does no good. But I will keep on talking about some things I saw in a special dream and that which the Lord has shown me… I know a man who belongs to Christ. Fourteen years ago, he was taken up to the highest heaven, whether in the body or out of the body, only God knows.” — 2 Corinthians 12:1–3

What does heaven look like?

People often ask me that.

It’s nothing like floating on clouds or cherubs eating grapes! Heaven is real—alive, vibrant, and brimming with purpose. People are active, filled with joy, laughter, beauty, and peace. It’s more real than anything we’ve ever known on earth.

I’ve seen celebration dinners when someone comes home—families gathered at long tables, overflowing with joy and excitement. It was the most beautiful reunion.

Will we recognise our loved ones?

Yes, absolutely.

We’ll still look like ourselves—only healthier, stronger, and more alive. Our spirit is the real us. This earthly body is just a temporary “suit.” When it wears out, the real us continues.

For everyone who believes in Jesus: you’ll see your loved ones again. You’ll recognise them, and they’ll recognise you.“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8

That’s not poetic—it’s literal. You close your eyes here… and open them there.

Do people have real homes in heaven?

Yes. Each home is uniquely designed for the person. I’ve seen homes by lakes, waterfalls, and mountains. One had plants growing out of the walls in little pots—perfect for someone who loved gardening on earth.

I saw another by a quiet lake, where its owner fished from a small boat, just as they had always loved to do. Jesus is personal; He gives us the desires of our hearts.“In My Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.” — John 14:2

This life isn’t the end. It’s the doorway to a greater reality—our eternal home. The pain of separation is real, but the hope we carry is even greater. We grieve with confidence, knowing our goodbyes are only temporary.“He will wipe every tear from their eyes… There will be no more death, or sorrow, or pain…” — Revelation 21:4
