We are the answer to God's Prayers

We know the Word of God says Jesus is our Intercessor. What does that mean?

“...He ever lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25)

"Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands...but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us." (Hebrews 9:2)

Have you thought about Jesus interceding on your behalf? Jesus is standing in the courts of Heaven as our great witness. Jesus proclaiming the truth about us in the enemy's face—even when we are unsure of our own identity—lifting His word over our lives.

Well, the other day I was thinking about these very things. I had a strong impression; Jesus is pushing into the Father for the restoration of all things upon the earth; the fulfillment of His promises given to humankind.

“Heaven must receive Him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as He promised long ago through His holy prophets.” (Acts 3:21)

We know that intercessory prayer is standing in the gap for those who are unable to stand alone, and for those who are blinded or battle weary. Jesus is birthing the storyline of God, and we can feel the atmosphere changing into what He has already promised. He is coming back for a glorious Church.

While pondering over Jesus' prayer assignments, the Lord whispered to me, “You are the answer to My prayers.” He went on to say that when we do what He asks, it answers His prayers. I was undone to think we had anything at all to do with answering our Savior's prayers. I was so blessed by this revelation that we play a part in answered prayers upon the earth.

Yes! He partners with people to see His promises fulfilled.

Here's an example: When we hear the Lord say go help a family financially, and we obey, we are fulfilling Jesus' prayers; or if the Lord asks us to send an encouraging word to someone, we are answering His prayers. When we become the answer, we also enter into the blessing.

This is a crucial time to hear the voice of God clearly and act on His voice without procrastinating. It really matters what we hear and how we react to God's voice. Some of the current issues upon the earth are extremely serious, even as serious as life and death.

We may have second guessed our way through things in the past or done something on our own initiative, then expected God to bless it, but this is an entirely different season we have been under; there is an unprecedented attack which calls for greater clarity and obedience to the voice of God. Our Father is looking for the Joshuas of our time to arise—those with the spirit of faith to go into their Promise Land and come back decreeing an excellent report.

Much can be overcome by the report of the Lord coming out of a Believer's mouth. Not only do we become the answer to God's prayers, but we also become a weapon in the Lord's hands against the enemy. We become powerful when we say what God says.

”So shall My word be that goes out from My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.” (Isaiah 55:11)
