When we live out of the old nature, we allow fear to stop us from entering into our promise land. Fear affects our identity; we see ourselves as mere grasshoppers.
Closing this year I believe the Lord is asking us to “face our fears”. He has a plan for 2020 to align us to your greater destiny.
He is asking us to make some decisions before we enter this new year. We won’t make them surrounded by fear.
He is asking us to let go of some things he wants to shut some doors to wrong alignments. This next season does not support these old alignments. To take the old into the new will weigh us down. The Lord wants us to travel light, to be more spontaneous, to be more adventurous and more flexible.
Fear has a way of placing restrictions on our mind that stops us from reaching our full potential.
What is it that is causing us fear? There is something we may not realise about fear; it will always back down if confronted. We often try to live in avoidance behaviours where fear is concerned. The only way to overcome fear is to “face our fears”.
Always remember we are a son or daughter of God we have His nature, therefore our core being ( spirit man is full of faith) on the other hand Satan has no faith he operates out of fear. So, we will always overcome fear if we make a stand against it.
The Lord is asking us to take a stand against fear. No more fear here is the mantra for 2020. As we enter into the season of no eye has seen no ear has heard the only thing that can stop that in our lives is our fears.
He is looking for fearless kingdom builders that operate out of affection based obedience, not fear-based obedience. There is such a significant difference when we forgive because that’s one of the rules or we forgive because we love what God loves people. Lovers always out last workers.
I believe our Father is raising a company of lovers to harvest this generation. Love drivers out fear.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” 1 John 4:18
Let’s take this time over the holiday season to ask the Lord what fears are holding us back? What area in our lives has a love deficit? So, we can start 2020 ready for whatever the Lord has in store.
Often I have seen as a Senior Pastor of Twenty-two years that people look at receiving the Fathers Love as a new doctrine that endeavour to encounter it earnestly but quickly run out of steam. Experiencing the Fathers love is rooted in relationship with the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we are trying to love God or receive Gods love without God.
This new year 2020 will not be a time of doing anything without God. Jesus said
“Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does” John 5:19
This is a place of total reliance on the Father it can only be achieved through intimate relationship with the Godhead.
If Jesus could not do anything separated from the Father, neither can we.
The Body of Christ is entering a place of rest and peace, that can never fully happen while we are still operating out of independent mindsets.
A resurgence of surrendering will open up in this coming year. As we lay down our agendas, we will receive our new instructions from the Lover of our Soul.
A realisation everything is impossible without God will cause a greater dependence upon Him.
“My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways,” Proverbs 23:26
